This week I attended a Dataiku customer event and analyst summit they call “Everyday AI”. As with all things AI recently, there was a lot of excitement and energy from the attendees. Held in New York, the conference brought together industry leaders, experts, and enthusiasts to explore the latest advancements in AI and its impact on businesses and society. As a provider of AI solutions, including a comprehensive AI platform, Dataiku showcased their commitment to making AI accessible to everyone, regardless of skill level or background.

The conference kicked off with a keynote address by Florian Douetteau, Co-Founder and CEO of Dataiku. In his speech, Douetteau emphasized the importance of democratizing AI and involving a diverse range of skills and expertise in the development and use of AI. The LLM Mesh provides capabilities such as routing and orchestration, cost reporting, security and permissions, and retrieval augmentation. Jed Dougherty, VP of Platform Strategy at Dataiku, shed light on the company's ecosystem and partnerships. Dataiku recognizes the importance of collaborating with other industry leaders to provide comprehensive and integrated solutions to their customers. Dougherty highlighted partnerships with companies such as Snowflake, NVIDIA, Pinecone, and AI21 Labs, showcasing the power of collaboration and integration in the AI landscape. Dataiku's integrations with these partners enable organizations to leverage cutting-edge technologies and platforms to enhance their AI capabilities. For example, the integration with Snowflake allows for deploying and running generative AI models on Snowpark container services, while the integration with NVIDIA enables organizations to deploy local HuggingFace models on NVIDIA GPUs. Jacob Beswick, Director of AI Governance Solutions, and Triveni Gandhi, Responsible AI Lead, delved into the critical importance of AI governance and compliance. Beswick and Gandhi discussed the challenges organizations face in managing risk, maintaining regulatory compliance, and building trust in AI systems. This comprehensive platform enables organizations to manage the entire lifecycle of AI models, from development to deployment, while ensuring transparency, fairness, and accountability. The solution was designed with the new EU AI regulations as a guide.

The conference concluded with a panel discussion on AI scaling. The panelists emphasized the critical drivers of AI scaling: democratization, acceleration, and trust. Democratization refers to involving a diverse range of skills and expertise in AI development, while acceleration focuses on reducing the time to realize value from AI projects. Trust is crucial to maintaining confidence in AI systems and ensuring responsible and ethical use of AI technologies.
